Due to the long-term operation of the oil pipelines, the variety of oil products and changes in environmental temperature, debris and dirt accumulate inside the pipelines, which are also important factors affecting the quality of the oil. As the oil sludge, debris, and dirt accumulate inside the pipelines, the pressure exerted on the pipelines will increase. If no measures are taken, an accident may occur. Our company, relying on its own proprietary technology for design and production, has developed pipeline-specific cleaning equipment that can solve most pipeline blockages, achieve the intended use, and reduce safety risks.
1. PIG Technology:
The PIG technology is a method for cleaning pipelines with a large amount of oil sludge. It releases a dislodger inside the pipeline, powered by compressed air, to dislodge the sludge over long distances. At fixed points, the sludge is recovered for cleaning the pipeline and achieving the goal of pipeline cleanliness.
2. High-pressure Water Jet Cleaning Technology:
The high-pressure water jet cleaning technology is a commonly used technical means. It is mainly applied to pipelines with low oil sludge content and a large amount of solid dirt. The water jet impact is used to remove the dirt, and depending on the size of the pipeline, methods such as straight nozzles, mouse head nozzles, rotating nozzles, and pipeline rotating nozzles are used. This is all carried out using traditional BJATL technologies and equipment, and it can quickly solve pipeline congestion.
3. Robot Detection and Cleaning Technology:
The crawler-type remote-controlled walking mode robot developed by BJATL, equipped with infrared cameras, can walk in underground pipelines and be observed by ground construction personnel. Necessary cleaning operations are opened or closed at certain time periods to ensure that the pipeline is restored to its original condition. This technology is currently applied to small and civilian pipeline cleaning, and for severely polluted industrial pipelines, the technology is not yet very mature.
4. Removal of Oxide Scale and Spraying on Pipeline Inner Walls:
Removing oxide scale and rust from the inner walls of pipelines and re-spraying is a call for the life and rebirth of aging pipelines. Due to different eras and technology applications, the peeling of the anti-corrosion layer of previously buried pipelines will significantly shorten the pipeline's service life. For such pipelines, internal rust removal and oxide scale removal should be carried out, followed by drying and spraying. Even if the pipeline cannot be restored to its original condition, its service life will be extended, and at the same time, the risk of pipeline rupture and leakage is avoided.
